Hello! I am a moderator smoker of marijuana (once or twice a week), and I would like to know if a vaporizer is a good investment. The reason I would like to start using a vaporizer is because smoking a joint or a pipe or a bog releases carbon dioxide into your brain, and this kills brain cells. I worry about this because sometimes I think I can feel the effects of marijuana killing my brain cells. I feel more stupid. If I get a vaporizer, will carbon dioxide not be released, and my brain cells won't be killed? Also, is the THC high that comes from a vaporizer BETTER or WORSE than the high that comes from a joint or a bong? Last thing- what are some good high quality vaporizers?

I think you're referring to carbon monoxide. Carbon dioxide is what we breathe out and what plants use to grow and produce oxygen. I've never seen any reports that indicate that smoking kills brain cells. You'd need a much higher concentration of carbon monoxide to do that.

Vaporizers, if used at proper temperatures, do not release carbon monoxide or other toxic combustion byproducts.

It depends on what you like. If you're into high energy cerebral highs, vapes are the way to go. If you want a heavy, body-stone, couchlock high, those are produced by heating weed to higher temperatures by burning it or running a vape at near-combustion temperatures. That releases other cannabinoids and combustion byproducts which make you feel "stoned" (as opposed to "high").

The consensus around here seems to be that the VaporWarez 3g machine produces the most bang for your buck. You can get one off eBay sellers for $120, including free shipping, 4-piece metal grinder, and digital scales. The machine works great (I have one) and carries a 5-year warranty.

You can spend a lot more or a lot less. For less money you get less reliability and shorter warranty periods. For more money you get all kinds of bells and whistles, including accurate, digitally controlled temperature and the ability to fill balloons with vapor.
