Default Medicinal MJ for Dogs?

My dog has cancer and is going to have her first chemo treatment tomorrow- I've read that chemo causes vomiting and all sorts of bad stuff, and i know that marijuana helps human chemo patients- do you think weed will help my dog?

also, do you think I could just mix some weed in her food or would I have to cook it?

You would probably have to cook it, but since cooked weed gives you a much more intense high, it may turn out bad, considering she's a dog. I'd suggest just blowing a couple of uninhaled hits into her mouth.

I would make weed butter and give it a little butter with a meal.

However, i have no idea if marijuana will be an effective medicine for your dog, it is probably best just to give it what the vet tells you to.

Only if you want her dead. Marijuana is highly toxic for canines:
The plant’s effect on canines is considerably less benign. Even a few grams can cause staggering, vomiting, urinary incontinence and, in severe cases, seizures and coma.

Yup, my sisters dog had glaucoma and she gave him a very small piece of a cookie and we thought it would be a small effect on him but he ended up staggering and vomited once.

Although she continued to blow one puff at him day and night she was able to keep his eye or at least prevent some loss because it was too late to start PetMeds for him.

Although I dont think giving him a very small piece of raw nug would hurt? what do you think buzzby?

Yeah. I wouldnt recommend it. I use to have this little wooden pipe that I use to smoke out of. I left the room, and came back in and my dog ate the bowl part of my pipe. I think she was really really stoned, because she was barking at my bed. But then she got really sick.

Thank you for putting a little clarity to this thread. MJ may be okay for people but that doesn't apply to other species. Chocolate is the same way. Okay for people but not pets.

We got my dog stoned once and he fell over. Since that day ive never done it again. I felt really bad for him. He just layed there for a while. BTW he's a pit/dalmation so he's a big breed.
