| I haven't read any articles concerning this matter myself, but I have Asthma, and I vaporize, and occasionally smoke marijuana. Toking does not make my Asthma any worse, but I believe vaporizing has made my Asthma better.

| I have asthma as well. I was prescribed steroidal inhalers, and then picked up smoking pot again... I swear by it. I breathe much much better than before when using those inhalers. The steroidal inhalers were prescribed to me as one puff in the am and one in the pm... I couldn't sleep because they would make my heart want to jump out of my chest. I stopped taking the inhalers because I felt they were doing more harm than good. I'm no doctor or expert, but it seems to have helped me a great deal. It may be different for everyone, as there are different types of asthma. I feel so much better, sleep better, and breathe better now... Thanks to marijuana... ![]() |

| I also stopped using my steroid inhaler. I hated the way it made me feel, and didn't really seem to help a lot. |

| Yes, when I was younger I was diagnosed with Asthma. My Doc prescribed me Albuteral. It really sucked, and I even think I was to Dependant and addicted to it. I was supposed to do 2 puffs a day, or as needed. I did it at ever short of breath, ever cough and ever wheeze. And the price was ridiculous! Anyways, when I started smoking weed, I was for sure thinking I would make my asthma worse. But, I smoke all the time, and I don't even carry my Asthma medicine on me ever. |

| I think it's very dependant on the individual, but a similar story is my fiance had severe asthma attacks almost two or three times a month, some of which involving going to the emergency room. She started smoking weed with me a little over a year ago, very lightly at first and now onjly moderately and being completely honest, shes had maybe two asthma attacks. And even those only needed albuterol and a minute to relax. So does it clinically work? I have no idea, but it sure as hell works for some people. |

| I have to agree and have experienced similar effects. I use to use my inhaler a lot when I was younger. Now though after I have been smoking marijuana for awhile now I can't even remember the last time I used it. If anything it would be taking it before bed if I am "wheezy". I am interested though on the effects of marijuana on asthma. I have even read that some places actually describe Medical Marijuana for Asthma. |

![]() I say yes for me... As I said before though... It may differ for everyone, depending on the type of asthma they have. Mine is mostly allergy-induced. I do on occasion get a little wheezy before bed if I haven't had my "medicine." Sometimes if I do a strenuous workout or hike, I get a bit wheezy then, too. But nowhere near what it was before pot... | |

| From what I've heard, Marijuana can act as a "bronchial dilator", opening up the passageways in your lungs when you breathe. Anyone who has ever coughed from a tobacco cigarette will notice a marked different, when coughing from smoking marijuana...since tobacco is the opposite and actually constricts the airways. I hope this helps... |
