I'm tired of all the prohibitionists claiming that they think more "research" is needed before they believe marijuana can be prescribed to medical patients.

Isn't there enough research already? What about all the studies and reports that have been written over the past 60 years?

It sounds to me like we need to bring back some reports back to life and shove them back in their face. This hysteria that tries to alledge there isn't enough "credible" research needs to end, and it needs to end right now.

The line, "We need to do more research" is nothing more than a stalling tactic. There are somewhere on the order of 10,000 studies out there on cannibas, and we know more about that plant than virtually any other plant out there. It is just an excuse that the public buys for the governments wholely unamerican policies on marijuana.

Peace

Yeah, its an outrage.
More research has been done on marijuana than the majority of prescription drugs approved by the FDA. Marijuana has been found to be less toxic than aspirin, a legal prescription drug, and a LOT, lot less toxic than alcohol and cigarettes, both of which are legal for adults to purchase, and have NO medical use - unlike marijuana. Its one of the most blatant and unoppossed medical misjustices this country has ever faced, and I don't see a solution coming around any time soon. MY question, however, is WHY the government is fighting so fiercly against the fookin drug in the first place...it might just be because of the poor research done in the 60's/70's...but there's probably another underlying issue I'm unaware of. If you look at the facts though, its just plain stupid. If marijuana was legalized, teen/adult use of hard, TRULY damaging drugs (cocaine, heroin, etc) would no doubt go down...why buy drugs of an unkown origin at an inflated price from a dealer, when you can buy it and know that its not laced from a local pharmacist? Staying away from dealers = staying away from hard drugs. You really have to wonder at the logic displayed by the government for this sort of thing...

I believe that our government WANTS their people hooked on hard drugs. It's easier to control them that way.
