| So one of the more compelling myths I've heard is the "cheech and chong" effect... whereas the claim is made that while marijuana is not toxic, you should not smoke too frequently or it will cause problems (memory, mannerisms, etc.) Apparently you need to let the thc or whatever "release" from your system. Thoughts? where's buzzby? |

| I think it fair to say that excessive use of most anything will adversely modify our physiology. Drinking modest amounts of alcohol esp. beer and wine is rather benign and possibly even beneficial to some degree. Dairy products same. Red meat same. On and on. Marihuana is no different...

| Too much isn't a chemical level. Too much is any amount that adversely effects your life. If you smoke a gram a month and because of it get fired, that's too much for you, if you smoke an ounce and a half a day and can support yourself and those who depend on you (if you have any), than that's not too much...

I don't know anyone who really has his shit together who wants to be stoned all of the time. There are all kinds of states of consciousness and being stuck in any one of them is boring. The people who smoke the most, in my experience, don't really get high anyway. They have such high tolerances that they smoke all day long and only get a little buzz. People whose lives revolve around getting stoned are boring. The Cheech and Chong stereotypes are actually a lot more interesting than real hard-core stoners.
