| Lately I've noticed this and it really never was a big problem before. The last ounce I got it seemed every morning I was waking up with bad phlegm that I could never completely get up and out. Along with this came a runny nose and sometimes a stuffy nose. Then I just got done from a lil over a week's break, and I noticed those problems went away. I got a gram last night that I smoked before I went to bed, and now the same thing in the morning. Until I get a vaporizer(as I'm sure thats one of the first suggestions) does anyone know something I can do to help prevent this? Or does anyone know just a quick way to get this phlegm out of my throat? Doesn't really seem to matter how soon before bed I smoke, it could be anywhere from right before bed or a few hours before. I feel like I devote the first half hour after waking up to simply trying to get all this out of my system and I hate it. I read on some site that after my shower when the room is still all steamy I should try lying on a flat surface and let the phlegm basically trickle out into a cup or something(kinda gross I know). That seems like a bit of work but at this point I'm basically ready to try anything

![]() I had a problem similar to yours, I stopped smoking for a few days and it went away... are you sure it's not just the marijuana itself, though? Has anyone else tried this sack to see if maybe it's not you, it's the pot? Quote:

and I said I just got done with a week+ break. Stopping for a few days would do nothing...... ![]() It went away then but came right back the first day of smoking again. And this is completely different weed. The gram was mids, the ounce was KB.

Working out and eating healthy would be my advice, that is if you don't already do this.

| Funny you should bring that up. I actually have been doing more cardio lately. I've been peddling at least 2 miles 5-6 days a week on one of those exercise bikes. You would think it would help clear out the airways but it hasn't helped much in that department for me anyways. |

| Hmm, it may very well be time to take a break then. I find this to b a common problem for heavy pot smokers. Like Trocisp said, you might as well be coughing it up. Make some hot, natural tea, with a bit of honey squirted in it after you wake up. That *Might* help. EDIT: Take a short break. Maybe a few days, maybe longer... Just to focus on getting your lungs back in top shape. Hey.. Wouldn't hurt ya, right? Last edited by Dank Perception : 05-19-2008 at 05:02 PM. |

| Im having the same problems as you dark. Although I experience it all day. Maybe your allergic thats what I think it is for me. I find it really easy to blow all of it out in the shower cause of the hot water on my face. But it just comes back. maybe its just that time of year? Or does this never happen for you?

| I get that sometimes too.. the smoke irritates your lungs, I don't think this can be avoided really. For the sinuses.. lots of spicy foods will clear those suckers right up ![]() |

| I get that most of the times I smoke. In the morning I usually will take a Sudafed, which clears up all of my sinuses. |

| I always have lots of phlegm but since I stopped smoking and started vaporizing a lot of that has gone away. I don't want to turn this to a vaporizer thread, but lets just say you will most likely never go back to smoking once you find out how amazing vaporizers are. |
