I saw it last night. I thought it was awesome. It's real rad that Fred Willard is the only live action character in the movie. Fred Willard Rules!!!

~Tim

PS also the guy who did wall-es voice and alot of the sound effects was the sound director on ALL 6 Star Wars Movies!!! He invented the sound of the lightsaber....badass

Yeah how old were you then Spiral, 6? 7? .

I agree, it hasn't even been the same for me since toy story, but there are some definite diamonds in the rough. Ratatouille was the shit! (and after I checked, is actually 0.1% higher than toy story at 8.2 ). Wasn't exactly my style, but Finding Nemo and The Incredibles were also good for the kids (same rating as Toy Story on imdb).
WALL-E is leading the competition as far as best animation movie goes though.

It's more the high ratings that interesting me. Any movie rated this high gets big hits on my radar

We saw it yesterday and enjoyed it. It was cute. Some of the younger kids may get a little bored, but Disney's gonna make a fortune on DVDs and toys.

Thanks for the review

Edit: WOW! I just noticed this movie right now is #6 in IMDb!! In between Pulp Fiction and Schindlers List if you need an idea. That is HUGE.
Maybe I will catch this in theatres man!
I can appreciate a good animated movie. Hell, I thought 'Madagascar' was ridiculously funny. But he said half the movie had NO dialogue? Point me in the other direction please.

Yeah, there isn't much dialogue in the first half. It's kind of just a robot making robot noises going about doing his thing. It's hard to really say without giving anything away, but the sound effects, the music and the visuals are all entertaining enough.

Eeeeevaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

So I saw it....
and I loved it!
Wall-E is more lovable than I could've expected. The loss of dialogue really didn't bother me much at all. The robots are still making expressions and noises to simulate something said or done, and half the time the noises or reactions from them alone is enough to make you smile and laugh.

Mind you I only saw a cam version(a GOOD cam version, but still a cam version) I can tell that the colors would be extraordinary in this film. So many colors and it all fits so perfect.
The story is also great. Couple parts don't exactly add up, but all in all for a KIDS movie it was perfect, and not too confusing.

It was most definitely worth the watch . I'll be getting it again when a better version comes along. For sure one of the best animated films to date. Wouldn't go as far as Toy Story, but almost no one can touch toy story...

But who would've thought a cartoon about futuristic robots could capture the hearts of an audience so easily?

They set the movie and the characters up perfectly. Each character changed from when you first met them, and when you left them, and that's exactly what a good script and a good story SHOULD DO everytime.

If this movie ain't a 10, it's damn near. Give me about a year and maybe I'll get over a little bit of the initial hype(a little habit of mine, but usually I'm pretty honest), and maybe I'll get it a 9 at the lowest.

I suggest anyone, any age to see it.
Vicki, you and your kids would love it!!! (Especially the premise! )

I kind of agree in a way. I would say that Toy Story is still their best, but Wall E comes in a pretty close second.

What's even more crazy is that they thought of The Incredibles, another one of the other big animation movies in the last few years (I forget which ) and this movie, all on the same brainstorming session many years ago. What a great job eh?
