Pixar always produced pretty good movies, and the disney movies pretty much sucked it up. I expected once disney took over pixar that the movies would suffer but it seems that they either kept some pixar people around or learned something from them. I still havent seen it yet. I really dont think animated movies can only be considered for "kids" anymore. You know with the rise in more "mature" animated shows in recent years, I just dont think it applies to children only.

I was interested after seeing three trailers. The concept that it's "animation" doesn't really bother me...if anyone has really bothered to get into how Japanese manga plays out, it's anything but kid's material...even the ones that seem like kid's material can still have some more mature subject matter. Kinda wipes that perception from you. To me it's just another form of presentation.

Generally I've been a Pixar fan, though the more recent ones haven't had any magnetism. But I'm really looking forward to seeing Wall-E when I get the chance.

I am not sure why but I just do not find any of the trailers appealing in the slightest. I am not an 'animation movie hater' either because I have enjoyed previous flicks such as 'Madagascar' and 'Shrek.' Maybe the whole idea of half of a movie without dialogue got to my head, I would just be bored to tears.

Dialogue isn't always needed....if anything, I think the loss of dialogue helps the movie. It helps you get more in touch with the characters. If you haven't fallen in love with WALL-E within the first 15 minutes of the movie, something's wrong with you .

You act as if they display no emotion or actions. If they can keep kids entertained with less than half a movie of dialogue, I think you'd do just fine.

Dark, I realize what you are saying but I am probably the most impatient person in the world and if tested, would probably show signs of critical ADD. That trailer didn't look TOO bad so I guess I'll wait until it is out on HBO or something like that. There is no way I would spend $10 on a ticket to see that movie though.

Does the lack of dialogue effect your view on the movie in any way? If not, I may go see it in theatres. But I need some reviews.

I still think you're completely missing the point, Faded...

I understand if you have a short attention span, but this isn't fuggin Cast Away here. Most kids have short attention spans......they make a movie that keeps them intrigued. And Wall-E is getting pretty much all good reviews...I haven't heard any complaint about the dialogue...

You seem interested in the movie. If you are, then just go and see it. Stop worrying about whether or not you'll be able to stay commited to the movie. Like I said, it's not Cast Away, where you're just watching a lonely sad guy on a beach for 2 hours.

In fact, the dialogue is mostly just to fill the space and let you know what's going on more. I'm positive I laughed more at the quiet moments than I did at the moments with dialogue

I fully understand your point Dark, no arguement here. I was just asking because movie prices are so ridiculous I could not afford to waste my money. But maybe I will give it a shot.
