|  Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson I just noticed that this is out in theatres. Has anyone seen it yet? I haven't heard too much about it, but hopefully it opens up at a cinema in my area. It has really good reviews on Metacritic... giving it a total score of 82/100 (it's a compilation of various reviews). As the title explains, it's a documentary of Hunter S. Thompson. It's also narrated by Johnny Depp!!!  I love documentaries, I love Depp, and I love Thompson.. I think it's a great combination and it's bound to be spectacular. Here is a brief synopses.. From Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney and producer Graydon Carter comes a probing look into the uncanny life of national treasure and gonzo journalism inventor Dr. Hunter S. Thompson. A fast-moving, wildly entertaining documentary with an iconic soundtrack, the film addresses the major touchstones in Thompson's life--his intense and ill-fated relationship with the Hells Angels, his near-successful bid for the office of sheriff in Aspen in 1970, the notorious story behind the landmark Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, his deep involvement in Senator George McGovern's 1972 presidential campaign, and much more. | nah i just heard about this recently after catching the documentary they aired on... could've been the history channel? i think one quote i heard from the trailer of this was "old men dream up wars to send young men into" Depp really does HST justice, i hear he lived in his basement in order to study him during fear&loathing i also hear Dale Gribbel is based on HST, i really see this every time i watch the show now (especially the episode where he takes shrooms) |

| Awesome! I haven't heard about this until now. I don't think any is playing near me  but I'll definitely catch it somehow sometime
