The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008)

I'm looking forward to seeing this, as well as adding it to our collection. We already own 1 & 2.

Anyone else looking forward to it?

Not sure what I think about it yet. I really enjoyed the first movie, but the last one left much to be desired. Its still up in air for me.........also, what excites you about this movie?

I feel just about the exact same as Killer.
1st one was pretty bomb. 2nd one was...a sequel type movie. Try to rebuild and expand all the sets and characters and end up with just more garbage. It was alright, but I don't remember the last time I've seen it and I have no desire to.

As for the new one...well, it looks better than the second. But to be honest the second movie looked pretty cool before I saw it. Hopefully the years off helped them improve their CGI and effects. A couple scenes of the Scorpion King in the last movie were laughable.

I'll probably get the first ones (and the Scorpion King) to watch in anticipation.

The Mummy with a darker twist I'd like to see. I know it is mostly a family movie, so it won't happen, but if the movie had a darker premise I feel I might enjoy it more (sorta like how the new Batmans turned out).

Because I enjoy Egyptology as well, and I also enjoy the science fiction aspect of the movies. Maybe brendan fraser is a bit too honky dory for me

Also doesn't the new movie take place somewhere in Asia?
