I recall a movie I watched part of 15-20 years ago but I cannot find it or recall the title.


What I recall

It was probably made in the 70's but could be early 80's
It's a horror or sci fi film
It might? be a sequel or prequel but def in a series
It was set in a big old church or school in the city that was vacant and surrounded by a fence like it was under construction?/ shutdown. (atleast in the begnning i think it is set there)
The important part is they use a device that sends messages from the future using Tacheon particles. The message is a warning or something.

I didn't see the whole movie but have always wanted to see the rest but couldn't recall the name. Maybe someone here will recognize it.

All I did was google the word Tachyon, then went to the Tachyon wiki, and looked at its uses in fiction, which listed this movie.

I have tried that a couple times in the past and never thought I found the right movie. I had a completely different idea of what the title was so that may have been throwing me off. I hope it is worth the search it looks like an interesting plot.

Finally watched the movie. It is flawed but has potential. The acting is pretty poor. Some of the dialogue is silly and doesn't quite make sense. All that said the plot is very interesting and some the effects are very good for the 80's. The movie builds (very) slowly into a dramatic crescendo. It's worth watching if you are horror fan.

I'd love to see the movie remade. If it was split into two movies or there was less focus on killing and more on plot and character development.


BTW Lawnmower Man and Blade Runner were sci-fi tonight. Both great movies
