It came out a while ago but it's still amazing.


Basically it's about an old guy (Clint Eastwood) who just lost his wife, and lives next to a bunch of Asians. He's old, grumpy and racist but he doesn't give a shit, also he's tough as nails.

One thing leads to the next and Eastwood befriends this quiet Asian teen as well as his sister, and they 'bond'. A group of thugs keep harassing the Asians and that's where most of the plot comes from.

This movie is pretty fuckin' great. It's badass and heartwarming and funny all at the same time. It feels like an indie drama, only because you don't expect Eastwood to play a lonely man in the middle of the suburbs. I mean, out of all the Clint Eastwood movies I've seen (1) This has to be the best!

See this movie. I'd give it a 9/10

The only complaint I have is the acting of the two asian teens, they could be better, but they're not terrible.

I haven't seen this movie yet but thanks for making a thread about it because I forgot about it. I've seen a few Eastwood films in the past that were good. If this was the only one you saw another I would say that is a more up to date film from his older stuff was a movie that came out in 1997 called Absolute Power. He played as a thief that saw something he wasn't supposed to see. That was a really good movie, also had Gene Hackman in it.

I agree. I saw it at the theatres because my girlfriend wanted to see it. I honestly thought it was going to be a lame movie. But the story line was amazingly well written, and how Clint Eastwood portrayed Walt was superb.

9/10 as well.

My only problem with the movie was the acting. Not just the two teens, but all of the actors except for Clint seemed to be reading straight from the script.

Overall it was a pretty good movie tho
