Wow this looks...OK. But that's just the trailer. The trailer makes it look like a generic modern horror film. But this is from the guy who make fuckin' Evil Dead 1-3.

Honestly I wasn't expecting much out of this movie until I saw the glowing reviews.

And the fact that it's supposed to be funny (in the vein of Evil Dead?) NICE.

Good ploy too: make it look like the generic horror film so all of the teens who have nothing to do over the weekend will go see it, expecting another "The Grudge" or "The Ring" only to be (maybe) pleasantly surprised.

It's just a shame that this is going to be passed off as just another generic horror film for the uninformed.


I can't recommend this movie to anyone considering I haven't seen it yet, but I know I will see it - but I can recommend Evil Dead 1 and 2 to everyone, those are two of the scariest, funniest movies ever. Army of Darkness is decent, but ED1+2 are where it's at.

I ask you, yoman3, have you ever seen Within The Woods? You definitely should. It's the kind of movie you make for a high school project but once you find/see it you'll understand.

As for this movie being another "generic horror film" I only have one thing to say. I'd rather a movie be called horror for trying to scare me than one that does nothing but chop people to pieces for over an hour. I don't find gore scary, and depending on the director, I find it annoying. Movies that are bad action with lots of gore shouldn't be called horror, they should be called mutilation because that's what the selling point is for most of them.

Scary movies are just getting dumber and dumber. Its like the lowest common denominator of entertainment

My GF brother walked out of this movie..just another predictable "horror" film.

Last two horror flicks I saw was Quarantine and Last House On The Left....they were pretty good.
