Forget to mention (not sure if anyone else caught it) the opening montage was different for the first episode:



He doesnt get the mosquito, stain on his shirt, shoelace breaks, and quite tired. Oh, and Dex, watch your...*quack*...step.


Something not related to season 4 in particular, I also noticed they changed the name on the lock in the original intro. Instead of the usual Dexter brand locks found on homes, it has been changed (avoiding any copyright stuff, I assume). Its those little details that make HD on a 42" LCD so much better

Yeah, this is one of my favorite seasons. I got into the show awhile back. Watched 3 seasons in 2 weeks and caught season 4.

I've noticed that every time I watch this show, I'm stoned as fuck.

And I get paranoid because they say it's the "Trinity killer". But my real name is Trenity. And theres cops solving crimes and shenanigins.

I remember the different opening montage. It kinda caught me off guard, and seeing Dexter looking so haggard just seemed really funny. I've found myself laughing a lot more during each episode as well, so thumbs up to the writers. =P

I wonder how Dexter is going to respond to the similarity between him and Trinity. Maybe he might even let Trinity go? I doubt it, since he messed with Deb.. but you never know.

As for the question about Deb and Lundy.. I think it was the vacation killer(s). I'm thinking that Dexter is gonna be really busy this season. He's gonna need to take care of Trinity, the vacation killer, and his family!

Obviously, this is all speculation. I'm probably way off, but who cares!

Vacation Murderers are Johnny Rose/Nikki Wald. Your thinking of Benito Gomez from episode one.

As for who shot Lundy/Deb, I say Johnny Rose alone. Its a hotel, so it makes sense in that regard. Also, I say Johnny because the last we saw of Nikki, she was in a standoff with the cops. Trinity's 3rd victim is always bludgeoned, as we later saw...a shooting fits nicely within the Vacation Murders scenario.

I thought the same thing, he wasn’t following the pattern, but…I don’t know. heres my take.
trinity knew who lundy was, and after they bumped into each other I think it's likely lundy would have figured out who he was…and trinity knew that, and that’s why he killed him. lundy was getting way too close. Deb said when lundy was laying on the ground after he got shot he couldnt talk but had this look like he was apologizing…. Which leads me to believe that he was apologizing because he saw the killer and it was trinity, making it his fault. And I think she got shot first, on purpose so trinity could get lundy's attention, and lundy could see trinity’s face..

Remember the part where dexter was talking to harry about how noone knew better than dexter how important the sacred rituals are. And then dexter said something like, lundy underestimated how far trinity would go to make sure it (the ritual) would go interrupted.
I don’t know man, but this is what I love about the show, it just forces you to think and think and think…
