Yeah Arlisan was cool.but the prince dude was too wimpy,anyway Cleric you seen Record of Lodoss War?
(btw i havent seen Princess Monoke yet,i heard good rumors about it though)
And your exactly right about DBZ.its sucks. Its an endless "goku cycle" first there all good in all.then a bad guy comes and whips everyones ass.after that goku goes off to training while the bad guys coutinue to whoop ass,everyones ass is whooped then goku returns and finishes everyone off with a "spirit bomb".

Ive only seen a little of the record of lodoss war, buti t certainly looks great. My friend has it on dvd so we are going to use his ps2 sometimes to watch it at my house. I think its like 15 vhs tapes but its all on 2 dvds, isnt that something who would have thought technology could do such a thing? I remember that sci fi used to play record of lodoss war for a little bit and i would watch it on early sunday mornings unknowing of what it actually was. It always made my sunday a lot more enjoyable. Yeah i see too many kids who say they know anime when they only know dbz, its sad i mean to me dbz is just another stupid cartoon, sure the drawings are anime but the storyline well, bites!

Another quasi-otaku that really gets on my nerves is the Gundam fan who thinks they know everything about Gundam who has only seen Gundam Wing.These people think that Heero or any gundam wing pilot for that matter,can whoop any of the original Gundams pilots (ex Char,Amuro,etc) in their unrealstic Gundams and think that any mobile suit thats made of Gundranium alloy is a gundam (Sazabi is made of gundranium alloy and it defineatlly not a gundam) which in truth a Gundam is bascilly a Federation Prototype mobile suit.
Oh yeah Cleric,know any other fantasy animes that are worth watching?

The Slayers is pretty good i watched a few of those awhile back, other than that im unsure but i will ask my friend the anime kid for some. Id say if ya havent seen princess mononoake watch it go rent it anywhere you can find it and be amazed, the story line is awesome and the animation will have you sayin wow the entire time. PLus the wolf girl is wicked hot!

Stoned Phil, by saying fantasy do you mean magic and warriors and monsters and dungeons and treasures like fantasy or some anime fantasy that I don't know about. Or maybe Celric can tell me if it is because it seems he is more into it?

I can't believe nobody said Tenchi Muyo yet! Ryoko, Washu, and Ryo-oh-ki are my favorite characters.

tenchi muyo is one of the first animes i have ever seen. thanks to its utter insanity and tenchi being a "pimp" it helped me become the otaku iam today (besides transformers). the only thing i didnt like about tenchi muyo besides the toonami version

is the wierdo spin offs like the weird tench in tokyo and magical girl sasami (cough sailor moon rip off cough cough)
well anyway iam just rambling lol. If you like tenchi try out el hazard.

Well everything that I like has already been mentioned.... everything that is except Trigun! Yea!!!!!!! I remember before the meltdown someone told me they didnt like it, because it was so comedic... not so my friend, it starts to get serious about half way through, and the last 2 DVDs aren't even out yet! This promises to be good... so check it out!

And one more.... Lain.......... OMG, it soooooo f*cked up. Its crazy from the begining, unlike most other crazy animes (i.e. Neon Genesis) but unfortunately it doesnt have any deeper meaning, just crazzzzzzzzzyness. Its fun tho.

Annnnnnnnd I have a gripe, Americanized anime..... hate i, hate it, hate it. I loved Escaflowne.... then it came out on fox... good god, could they screw it up more???

Agree with you on X,in order to get the full story on X read the X manga. Ill try Trigun though (even though Cowboy Bebop is the ****). Now iam into manga now,
i already read all of the Blade of the Immortal manga out now (a freaking awesome manga btw) and just got the Ghost in the Shell manga today(much much better then the boring movie). So bascilly my anime collecting is at a hault right now
