ok im a fan of teh show 1st off cause 90% of the time it makes politicans relise how stupid they are.

anyways my buddy taped the showfor me cause my sat dish was killed. but the show talked about marijuana and this republican woman was not having any talk about weed, the other 3 guest and host bil mahr were callin her out on topics, 1 guy was "LETS ALL JUST SAY NO like nancy regan said to do." he then went on to say how dare is dead and it never worked. then another guest beeped in about how booze is worse then mj and the lady repbulican said that was a lie. bill mahr then ripped her a new a-hole sayin he can prove boose is worse.


it was one of the best shows so far, mainly cause the repbulician lady was feeling the heat and she could not back up anything she was saying talking in circals and just being ignorant and arrogant.

Bad ass man i thought i missed it and i was siting here fliping around an BAM its on....did yall notice how that chick looked like a slut, and true SHE KNEW NOTHING.... if this many people believe marijuana should be legalized how come we cant do a NATION WIDE PAtition of the presedent...Could this be pheasable???

i too love that show, i watch it when ever i'm around a TV at night. anyways, from what i've heard ABC really puts alot of presure on Bill Mahr to make sure he doesn't talk about his own uses of MJ, he's not suppose to admit to it, which sucks because he should be allowed to be him self, but he is open about it other times, not on TV, anyways, just saying that i'm a fan of the show too..

Yep...I've seen him bring up the subject a couple of times. Obviously, it's an important subject for Maher. I saw one with Penn (Penn and Teller), who vehemently supported marijuana legalization, although he claimed never to have tried it...and, of course, there was SOME OTHER republican lady who adimately OPPOSED legalization, but had no real basis for her argument, aside from the unfounded, hackneyed Gateway Theory.
I always find it interesting to hear the different arguments on why it should be legalized. The ones I've heard thus far were:

- medicinal purposes
- safer than alcohol, which is legalized
- good for the economy
- Government prohibition as an infringement of one's basic rights
and the always-popular
- "It's my body"
