Did anyone catch that DEA thing on the History Channel? It blows my mind that they spend BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of dollars to fight such a innocent drug! This show wasn't bad, it was primaraly about the war on drugs. It is going to be shown again sometime tonight.

If anyone else hears about any other shows about Marijuana or the war on drugs let us know, cause they are fun to watch, and you learn alot.

Keep your eye out for the film "Grass" by Ron Mann. I'm not sure when it is scheduled for release on video but when comes out don't miss it. It's really a brilliantly put together documentary on the history of marijuana prohibition in the US.

Also, I just caught a documentary on CNBC about heroin which was excellent.

YEa i saw that back like 6 months ago, and it was good. I noticed that there havn't been any real good ones on since then. I am kinda disappointed, sometimes you can find one on once a week, and sometimes you need to go a half year. I always like to hear what they have to say. And surprisingly the PBS one had as many negative things to say about enforcing the drug laws than they had against the drug itself.

I just saw "Hooked: Illegal Drugs and How They Got That Way." Apparently its a mini-series type thing that talks about the history of the drug war. This show was on marijuana and amphetamines, but most of it was on marijuana.

It was pretty much all great. It talked about all of the racial prejudice involved, and showed a whole lot of clips from those old propoganda movies like Reefer Madness. The first half hour was pretty much all about Harry Anslinger and his propoganda. Then it said that an early opponent of prohibition was the mayor of New York, and he got someone to do some sort of study on the marijuana problem in New York, and they found that it really wasnt a problem at all, and that the dangers of marijuana was greatly exxagerated by Anslinger. Then the voive over lady said something like "Anslinger then decided that he would not allow any more studies on marijuana."

And then right after all of that, it talked about anphetamines. So it really made marijuana look benign.

I know that its been on before, so it will probably be on again. Its on the History channel.

I saw that series too, the history channel is my fav channel btw I love history!

NBC had a little thing on the drug war, It was mostly about how it was getting smuggled into the country. But it was cool, cause they had people sitting at desks showing different grades of buds, and showing what you get for your money. It wasn't bad at all, but it lasted like 2 mins, so it really wasn't no big thing.

Anyone have or know where I can get some documentaries that present medical marijuana or industrial hemp? Mostly, about the uses... Any thing at all that could be used as an educational tool for the "friends" here in the House of Representatives of the Philippines...

Yup. We're getting our info together to start the move to legalize and decriminalize.

Every country that begins to legalize, gets the USA a little bit closer to considering legalization as well

I looked up some stuff at google.com, and i found one standout site, all free!! You got videos there from how to cook with pot, to presidents and other popular people admitting that they smoked pot. Yesterday I saw several copies of Grass in the new releases section of Jumbo Video (in Canada). Hope it's available everywhere.
