| OH, MY GOD, you guys, I thought I was the only one who thought this commercial sucked. Like you said, it's a good message, but the way they portray these kids is absolutley IMBESILLIC!!! Sure, it's okay to pass...but just be forewarned that you'll have to be subjected to conversations about eating worms and navel fuzz. I'm assuming by the way they were portrayed, these are the "cool" kids. So, you have the cool kids passing the pipe and talking about stupid stuff; meanwhile, the math nerds are in the corner toking up and developing the latest superconductor. HAHAHA!! I remember when I was a kid there was this anti-drug commercial with a mannequin puppet, and he says "I may be a dummy but I'm no fool. Say nope to dope, and ugh to drugs." Does anyone else remember this? No one I know does. I also remember the fried egg one. There were some pretty lame ones way back when, but there was one really good one I remember, too. It basically showed this kid skateboarding through this middle-class suburban neighborhood with the narrator saying "55% of kids who used drugs are from inner-city areas. Guess who the other 45% are," then it shows him stopping and sitting behind a building with his friend, and they start toking. I thought that was probably the best drug awareness commercial ever made...actually, the ONLY good one made. | |
