| Sorry, I don't agree that the hype ruined the movie. I actually saw it soon after it was released so I didn't hear too much about it before seeing it. It was definitely a big surprise for me ... I'm the kind of viewer who looks for plot and hates action movies. I detest Arnold and Kung-fu and cop movies and all that crap. But the Matrix is a classic. I thought the plot was decent and the camera and computer work phenomenal. Sorry, but I can't see how people can legitimately trash this movie. After all, it influenced all action movies since. And in this movie, Kneau (sp?) wasn't half-bad, IMHO. | |

| I agree with spuds, isoft, and goodgirl. This movie was a great film. I know a lot of people who didn't like it. From my observations, those are the same type of people who don't really think about much but just eye candy entertainment. This film is very philosophical, in my opinion. The camera techniques were revolutionary. The plot has much more depth than any other action movie I've seen since. I really don't see how you can hate this movie unless you don't understand it. I could see why someone wouldn't like Reeves, but even I was able to tolerate his acting in this flick as well. | |
