| I know its an old movie now but who else loves TheMatrix i mean i could watch that flick everyday. They are still filming 2 right now and they are scheduled to film 3 right after 2 so it shouldnt be too long between the two sequels. The 4 best people stayed for the sequels Keanu Reeves, Morpheus(Laurence Fishburne), Trinity (Amy jo ????) and Agent Smith who died in the first one returns as well, not much is known about 2 cause thats the way the Warchowski brothers are but what is known is that we will see Xian, there will be flying fight scenes, and more weapons will be used in it instead of fist to fist combat. Looks like TheMatrix 2 will end filming in september 2002 so we still have a long time to wait but hey it seems it will be very much worth it. Cleric![]() |

| damn kid you didn't have to reveal all that much. but to answer your question, i liked the movie when i first saw it, but the 2nd or 3rd time it seemed like kind of a downer. all this prepping the audience with an in depth plot only to see one agent killed. oooh whoopee! but still i like the story, and i anticipate the coming trilogy. it seems to me this story could go for a good five movies, and i can only image it getting better and better. | |

| They did that because if they showed the whole story in one movie it would be pretty long, I would assume, they also did that to make more money with the sequals. And they just want to create anticipation for people to go see the sequals and see what happens to that secret city, I forget the name. TheCelric, heh yea you didn't have to reveal that much, but now I am excited to see the sequals. Especially the release date. That really shot down my excitement. ![]()

| I think the movie was your average ok movie, boring plot, but good effects. I don't know how it got to be so big! I sat through it once, and then again. And i really don't care to see it again, personaly i thought it wasn't put together well. Not enough violence or something, maybe cause there was no nudity, who knows!

| okay when I'm baked I enjoy watching all the action scenes and sh!t, but when I'm baked I generally like to watch stupid movies.. I personally think that flick is the most *overhyped* film in history, it has a weak plot, the end is pointless, it got some bad actors (cept Fishburne), and it still cracks me up when kids philosophize over the film's topic, so dont anybody tell me the film is deep. It's just great entertainment to me, nuthin else.. I was overwhelmed by the special fx when I saw it for the first time of course. ~boodah~ | |

| I liked it, it didn't live up to the hype, however. And the plot really wasn't that difficult to understand. It got on my nerves how everyone would say, "I didn't get it the first time, I had to see it 2 or 3 times." What? From a philosophical viewpoint, yes, it is difficult, but speaking strictly narratively, it's fairly simple. BTW, Ganjx, Star Wars did not happen by accident. When it was concieved originally, the original idea was for 9 movies, with the original trilogy being the middle one, and a very vague idea for a final one "hey wouldn't it be cool if we could see what Luke was doing when he has kids......" etc. Last I heard, the plans for the final trilogy have been scrapped, since their was never even a story for it. However, the story Lucas most wanted told was the middle one (A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi). He also knew he probably wouldn't be able to make the others, since a movie being that big of a hit was unheard of in 1977. That's why he included the Death Star in the first one, and that's why Chewbacca was in the first, and I'm sure a bunch of other stuff. Originally, the ewoks were wookiee's, but Lucas wasn't sure if he'd get to make the last movie, and he loved the wookiee's so much, he made one the co-pilot. Trust me on all this, I used to be a big Star Wars freak in middle school and early high school.

| i seriously doubt the plans for a 9 movie series was included in the blueprint, why else would they wait twenty years to release the preamble to the story? you hit the nail right between the eyes somewhere below the belt...in '77 a trilogy was virtually unheard of. you really think they went from the impossible three to the infamous nine? i heard that this idea came about around movie four, but i could be wrong. im not really a star wars fan. | |
