The Stoned Philosopher

Tv sucks like hell,theres nothing good on,its a drug that causes you NOT to think (this wasnt a conspiracy or anything,its just a easily exploitable side effect of watching tv) and it just plain sucks.
I only watch tv about once or twice a week (if you count watching anime videos )
The only channels i watch on tv is history channel, discovery,and sometimes the movie channels if they got an interesting movie on,otherwise i try to avoid watching tv.

Ah hah i knew i wasnt alone. I quit tv about a year ago. My cable bill was high from all my pay per view movies and i just didnt wanna pay for all those channels i didnt find interesting. I mean i watched comedy central, tlc, discovery, animal planet, and then like wrestling when it was on. And even then i wasnt happy. I got nothing accomplished cause id be sitting there staring like a puppet. I felt the medias grip on my life as i sat down and turned on the tube to see the same ads making my life descions for me. Im not totally anti tv, i just choose not to watch it. Like Tyler says in Fight Club, after the first month i didnt even miss tv. Its funny how addictive that little box gets. A little like this computer now that i think of it, the only difference being this things gonna rake me in loads of cash in a few years

When I was in 7th grade I think, or maybe 6th, not sure ... some kid made this biased poll, it was part of an assignment. It was asking how much TV do you watch a day? And he came to me to get my poll. I said I don't watch TV, my dad unplugged it and I haven't watched TV for a long time! This kid looked at me and shouted, YOU DON'T WATCH TV? Like he couldn't believe somebody could do that! Kinda sad ...

TV is full of annoying bullsh!t that doesn't need to be produced from the beginning, but they gotta do something!
