I figured this thread would do us all some good, i know im quite the avid movie watcher lately and instead of making a seperate thread for each of the movies i have watched to voice my opinion i thought well why not create one big thread to talk about all new releases and new movies i have seen or plan to see. I know im a weirdo but hey its a job.

Castaway: i know i was late in watching this movie but i thought it was great. A very powerful story with great plot and lots of that touchy drama that makes ya really get into the character.

Beowulf: this movie was allright, i liked the story and i thought the acting sucked. The special affects were weak at best but i liked the kinda futuresque appeal the movie had with its weapons.

Anti-trust: Great flick, im a computer nerd so this naturally appealed to me since its about programmers and a geeky company stealing code from other programmers then killing them. The acting was great, the plot was superb and had many twists i didnt expect. I suggest renting it if you havent allready.

The Fast and the Furious: What can i say, acting sucked, story line was weaker then most, but man the fine chicks and cool cars surely made up for what it lacked. Im a sucker for shiny fast cars with all sorts of parts ill never understand, and the hot chicks that are attracted to them. So if ya like to goggle over beastly machines and babes go see it otherwise skip it.

Now for the upcoming movie titles id like to see. Final fantasy: did i mention im a video game dork too? Jurassic park 3, rush hour 2, and of course scary movie 2.

okay I feel like I can throw in something too.. yesterday I saw Traffic for the first time, and for those few who haven't seen it, go see it

the acting is great, the plot had many twists I didnt expect and some I did expect (/SPOILER/ like that one cop dying from the car bomb, the one who was telling jokes all the time)

a great thing about it is the way it shows how many aspects the drug war has, how many people are affected by the drug war and drug traffic, and how pointless the whole conflict is.. at the same time the movie doesnt condamn anyone, it proves how each side of the drug war holds a little truth and that this is what makes this whole dilemma pointless..

the best thing is the directing tho. the whole movie is a hybrid of classical drama/thriller and documentary film, at some points it makes you think you're watchin cnn but it maintains the great dramatic effect of the plot..
all in all a great flick, but nothing relevating, it still dont come close to my fave flicks..

however, it didnt make me feel bad about being a drug user, cause thats what I'd heard before, but its not true, at least not for me..

Ya traffic was really good thats a powerfull ending that michael douglas gives man. The whole how do you wage war against your own family thing, i hope that made a lot of people think twice about drug laws.

In other news i saw scary movie 2, i wasnt that impressed, it seemed to take 30 minutes to write and just wasnt too funny. It had its funny moments but over all i wasnt laughing as much as i should have been. The parrot rocks though. I also thought that the hot chick was cool despite the ****ty movie she looked good and was a welcome exchange to the bad jokes. Over all i give it a thumbs down.

Mark that one on the "Didn't Care for the First One and I Won't Plan on Seeing the Sequel" list. The first one was an insult to my intelligence. Stupid Humor: Hmph!

I kinda thought it was funny. I was baked tho, so pretty much everything that night was funny. But its got some cool scenes, i know its a dumb movie, but dumb is fun. i can mention a couple dumb/fun shows: south park, beavis and butthead, scary movie....and the list goes on

Whats funny about castaway is what was inside of the package he never opened. If you have a dvd player, there is a easter egg on it that tells you what was inside.

yo back up here, yes scary movie was incredibly stupid, but I saw it during a lil bong session and I was constantly laughing my ****in ass off!!
If you like funny movies when you're high, like adam sandler flicks and ****, scary movie is a must see!!
I mean c'mon, ya gotta love the movie just for that line : 'Here is Black TV reportin at the crime scene. sh!t, two white women have been murdered at this place, let's get the **** outta here!' (or something like that)

Scary movie SUCKED. The stoner they had in it HELPS keep alive the so called idea of a smoker and only hurts the movement.

The only funny parts were with doofy. The vacuum scene was sick, listen to what he mumbles its twisted.

How about when they go WWWWWWWAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAA!?!?! i pissed my pants when they did that. I smoked about 10 minutes before the movie, so when it started i was just getting high. I'm going to see the second one baked too, and another dumb/funny movie is "american pie"
i mean this movie is great, i laugh everytime i see it. And i'm also going to se the second one too

I didn't care for scary movie, I try to stay away from movies that are that crude. there is one part that is funny in scary movie though. When Cindy's boyfriend crawls into her bedroom. Cindy's dad comes in and is like " I thought I heard noises" Cindy says "No daddy I didn't hear any noises" the dad says "Oh maybe it was that crack I smoked earlier" the way he said was just hilarious.
