Am I the only one who's ready to open up his wrists the next time that ad for the "Soft Rock" CD airs? The music they're hawking is bad enuff...but when I see it at almost every commercial break, I wanna tear my hair out! Starts out with Kenny Loggins...then Christopher Cross. Oh my God! I can picture it in my head right now!! I know...yer probably thinking "just change it"...but it's getting to be like a bad car crash, I can't turn away! I'm totally mesmerized. I'd even welcome a "Christian's Childrens Foundation" ad with Sally Struthers, or that dumb-sh!t Pop-Tarts spot where the kid is stashing them in his locker in it's place! Oh my God...my TV's off and I can hear Kenny in my head singing "This is It"! Gotta go...must be time for a big fat bong load!

mmmm... I feel your pain.

I watch just about every Red Sox game around here and in between innings they run ads... the same ads over and over and over. If I have to see that "Ready for a cold one?" beer ad one more time, somebody's gonna die.

It was the same around the time of Wazzzzzzzup!!!!! If I head to see that ad or hear one more person do a really awful impression of it, I was going for my chainsaw.

I suppose corporate branding is inevitable. It's a television evil that won't go away. Spuds McKenzie, California Raisins (damn... I just dated myself there), Wazzup? They never die. They just get a make over and come back in the form of a new memetic virus.

OMG, I hate those ads, too, but I don't think they're half as bad as those lame-ass insurance or lawyer commercials they show midday. Those are the WORST!!! Everyday at work, Jerry Springer is on, and it always has the SAME lame ads.

...here's one that made me laugh every time I saw it. Not because of the content, but because of the lawyer's names. They've since changed the line-up, but used to hear ads for "The Law Firm of Johnson, Cram, Harder and Wells"! No BS! It used to be a real law firm!
