| Anyone following the new "the tick" series on FOX? I think it's great, athough not quite as good as the cartoon (but what is?). g |

| If anything, the Tick show is closer to the comic than the cartoon. I'm a long time fan of the comics and this show is a breath of fresh air. I didn't much like the pilot episode. It had it's moments, but some of it was so incredibly cheap looking I had a hard time swallowing it. Warburton is the perfect Tick. His mannerisms and speech are almost exactly as I'd imagined them when reading the comics. I'm hoping that some of the characters from the comics make an appearance on the show. I'd love to see an episode where Tick takes on "Barry" and wins the rights to the Tick name (as well as Barry's Tick Cave and all his crime fighting gear). Extremely funny comic, one of the funniest of all time in my opinion. Batmanuel and Captain Liberty are also surprisingly funny. It's a perfect pairing. The Tick follows Family Guy. An hour of comedy so dangerous, it threatens me with asphyxiation from laughter. | |

| I agree - Batmanuel is incredible and everyone on the show seems to work so well together. But, that's what I find sets the great shows apart from the rest - same thing goes for Family Guy. I agree 100% that the Tick paired with Family Guy is unreal - the Power Hour of television. I have a hard time turning other people on to them, but I hope they stick around for a while. The shows I like seems to vanish - much like the Downer Channel and Upright Citizens Brigade (you should see them live in NYC - it changes everything). | |
