Wow, I just now watched that. It's really informative - I feel like a learned a lot I didn't already know from it. I suggest that ya'll check it out. One thing that sucked about watching it at pot-tv was I couldn't get a fast feed... I have cable and it coulda looked a LOT better. Anyway the audio was great.

I think ya'll should really watch it.

This is the best video I have ever seen about marijuana. It has a historical perspective starting with the 1914 criminalization of marijuana in El Paso. It covers the propaganda through the years from it will make you go crazy to the 60's theme of it will make you a loser. It showed Anslinger who was out to build a giant bureacracy that would rival the FBI for power and budget. If you really want to understand the 65 year history of marijuana prohibition you need to see this. It will amaze you.

this is an old post but i thought id revive it cuz i just got it on dvd for cheap. it thought it was really funny in parts especially the parts with the old films they used to make against MJ, like the one where the guy smokes a joint and goes crazy and kills his friend, I did laugh :-)

30-60 dollars?? I saw it on the shelf at hollywood video in the documentary section. I haven't seen it yet but it sounds good.

has anyone else seen this movie? Woody Harrleson narrates it, its basicly the story of marijuana and how it became illegal and how the government used propaganda to make it illegal, its really interesting, and it has alot of cool graphics

Heh heh. The blockbuster I used to work at had like five copies. It was always funny when middle aged soccer moms walked up to the counter and *****ed us out for carrying it. I just directed them to a certain part of the drama section that stocked softcore porn...usually shut them up

Good thing the manager was a stoner, too.

As for the movie itself...I thought it left alot to be desired. The smartass presentation is just going to put off fence sitters on the legalization issue, and the movie really has very little content. No counter-arguements to all the anti-weed propoganda out there, no comments about how much harm is actually done by pot prohibition itself, no comments about alot of stuff. All it talks about is how the government has changed its explanation of why pot should be illegal so many times, and while that makes a point, it isn't enough of one to change anyone's mind.
