Wow, I feel like John The Baptist here, the Voice In the Wilderness and so on...

Farscape is on The Sci Fi Channel, usually Fridays at 9PM but right now they are between seasons (they run on a really weird March-beginning "season") -- the new season starts end of March (might be beginning of April, I heard some buzz to that effect but haven't been on the boards in the off-season so I'm a bit outta the loop)... Just check out scifi . com for scheduling

It's generally critically hailed as a *great* Sci Fi /space opera/adventure romp -- yes there is a big guy in it with a sorta big beaky nose and fleshy dreadlock sorta shaped "hair" -- That'd be D'argo, who's a Luxxan warrior (most people remember our beloved Big Blue *****, Zhaan, but she's dead now or at least on some other plane of existence)

Just like most chix tho, I'm in it for the Crichton -- John Crichton that is, about 6'1" of stone-cold-southern-drawlin'-hunk with the d-r-e-a-m-i-e-s-t BLUE eyes (whew pardon me while I wring'em out) -- most *guys* are in it for Aeryn Sun, who is not only a decent looking woman with a gorgeous voice, but who also kicks some booty... it ain't just FUN it's massive eye candy and some trippy-ass story lines to boot!

You really do have to watch more than one ep, cuz it's on season 4 and the storylines are cumulative so it'll take you a while to catch up/catch on -- at the beginning of Season 3, they had a special catch-up show with synopses and all which was good for newbies, hopefully they'll do that again.

Use-ta wuz it was followed by Lexx which use-ta be feckin insane, but has been americanized and isn't quite so out-there as before, I dunno what the line-up will be this season (remembering fondly the days of Farscape, followed by Lexx, followed by Space Ghost on the cartoon network...)

So anyway, trust me, Git yerself a B_I_G fat bowl and watch this!

hellz yeah! Farscape rules! Man, that is such a great show to watch, baked or not. I got into it because of Claudia Black(Aeryn Sun). A fairly appropriate (mangling) of a quote from the movie "The Whole Nine Yards" : "There ain't nothin' finer than a fine lady with a gun-and she all kinds o' fine!" Ohh man. But what kept me coming back(aside from the aforementioned lady with a gun) is that, damn, it's a great show! Good actors, original ideas, fun sh*t all round. One of my favorites.
