| Wow. i really didn't think it was that bad. it seems most of you guys came in looking at this sure that MTv would paint a bad picture on pot, and thought they did. It was the LEOs that said the things about MJ being dangerous, not the host. it seemed pretty objective to me. |

| Like I said in an earlier post they went over the growing and distribution (cafe or med clubs) and smuggling quite well. But they had alot of LEO's talking about how dangerous levels of thc have gotten and how it is a gateway drug. Anyone who has done their own research on these topics understands the holes in those arguements. The people they interviewed were growers and dealers. Mostly the people who had things to gain from marijuana. These interviews went over the processes (growing, selling, distributing, types of weed) involved. They let the LEO's say their points but didn't even bring them up to the pro pot people they did speak with. I dont believe they even mentioned norml once. On the comercials they alluded to the people who are trying to legalize it. I dont think you can have a worthwhile discussion on legalization without mentioning norml. It was biased because the people they interviewed for anti pot were LEOs. These are people who's jobs are to enforce these laws. They are experienced with discussing drugs with the public. Most drug dealers and pot growers (that supply the black market) do not care about marijuana becoming legal. Most of the ones I've talked to dont want it legal. They would loose their job if it was. But regardless they didn't allow anyone to rebut any of the things said by LEOs. I definately didnt come into it expecting it to be bad. Im a very optimistic person. I fully expected them to interview a bunch of norml representatives to at least give equal representation from each side. In a perfect world...

| MTV = Pop. It doesnt really have to be elaborated further does it? They cater to whats pop, pop is current drug ads blaming us for helping fund terrorists. They dont stop to point the finger on themselves and say ohh jesus what have we done? Our laws that we are fighitng so damned hard for are now bringing our own country to its knees, and why because we simply will not allow drugs to be legal in our own country, therefore creating demand, creating a black market drug trade system, funding terrorists, and why is this system here? BECAUSE WE ENFORCE RIDICULOUS LAWS FROM EONS AGO THAT ARE PROVEN TO NOT ONLY NOT WORK BUT NOT MAKE A SHRED OF SENSE EITHER! I swear sometimes i am the only person who seems to get it. You want to blame me for funding terrorists, fine but blame yourself for making my funds go to them and not you like they should be. But back to the subject of MTV, they cling to whatever is good for the moment and then ditch it and never think about it again, its pointless to get so flustered over it, its easier to just ignore it, think of the average person that sits there and gets their life information from MTV programming, im not worried in the least. An army of uptight teen age girls and parents who like to claim to have morals yet allow their daughters to idolize Britney Spears, what an amazing force. ![]() Its sad to say but the best thing about MTV right now is the Osbournes, and thats only because Ozzy is the man. | I came into it sure that they were going to paint a positive image. CBS ran the story last month about medical marijuana and its benefits. I figured if CBS of all stations was willing to take the side of marijuana, surely MTV would as well. And I did feel that Serena Altschul was taking the anti-pot approach...see all previous comments for that. |

| i think marc emery represented us really well. he looked to me like my friends really religious and conservative dad. he looks like a republican, like the every day working dad. it's good to break the stereotypes. |

| I saw the later airing of it... Wow, how dumb. I mean the whole BC experience was awesome, nothing really wrong with that other than that serena is dumb as hell. The last half about Hawaii put me to bed. Who wants to see dumb stuff like that. If anything that is a slap in drug enforcements face if they go up in helicopters like that to uncover 6 plants. Overall, it was worth the watching, documentaries like that interest me.. but this one was stupid. Completely against pot. Notice how serena said "Hospitalizations related to marijuana has doubled".. give me a break, why didn't she say "Hospitalizations related to marijuana has steeply jumped from 1 to 2 hospitalizations a year". Bah to mtv, they suck!

| Serna really didnt seem like she knew much about weed in the 1st place, which is why they should of gotten someone with more knowledge on the subject to do the project. At least thats how I feel, but I dont think it was as bad as some people are making it out to be.
