I live near New York City, and none of the channels were showing war movies? I am suprised that TNT or something didn't have war movie marathons. I would think that they would put war movies on every channel this year.

Did anyone else in the country have war movie marathons?


I'm watching a WW2 documentary on NBC, very good.

Nope, probably another side effect of september 11th. Personally I can go without watching people get shot on memorial day, id rather just remember and pray for those who lost their lives in a war, then watch a movie about it. Maybe thats just me though. Peace-

I don't think I have seen a single movie that glamorizes war....can you tell me which movies glamorizes war?

You know what a very real war movie is?

All quite on the western front.

Thats a very real war movie. No glamour, no victory parades, nothing. Everyone who signs up for the war dies a very crappy death, some more crappy then others.

War sucks.

It's actually a fairly recent trend to show the dark side of war in movies. Yes, it existed before, but it wasn't as prevalent. People are a lot more careful now not to make movies about killing massive numbers of foreigners.

me and my friend always see war movies on TNT around 2:00 (mountain time) on weekdays.

its almost everyday we see them cause i drive him home, we smoke, flip through the channels and if we see them watch the death for a little while.


ive seen mostly vietnam movies recently (platoon, full metal jacket, and some others were on int he past month)

James Bond, it was a war movie at 1st( cold war) and sure as hell glamorizes it. Now its just some way to make bucks

hahah thats great the only movie you can name that glamorizes war is rambo, i dont think you have a very good point going, or you need to think of a legit movie.
