Saw the previews for this on Eminems new cd.

I really cant wait for this movie, probably cause i love his music and his life is just an interesting one.

For those of you who dont know what 8 mile is well come fall you will. Its the story of Rap sensation Eminems life, his start from nothing just being a white dude rappin on the corners of detroit, his life with his mother, his life with his ex wife Kim. Its essentially all of the sides that he tries to show people with his lyrics but in movie form.

I dont wanna get ahead of myself but an 8th of dank says Eminems movie kicks the box office records ass. He has conquered music sales multiple times, now hes on his way to the movies. Way to go Mr. Mathers, never stop man the world needs ya.

(a lil pre warning, this isnt a debate Eminem thread, if you have a comment about the movie fine leave it but if you wanna just sit here and talk about how much he sucks or whatever then you can just post in another thread please.)

i'll take that bet If eminem's movie breaks the box-office record (i think $100 million in a weekend by spiderman) than the end of the world is here.

It does look mildly interesting, though.

I think Eminem is an asshole but I live on 10 mile and one of my friends lived next door to eminem before he was famous and he would always come out and ***** at him because his music was to load. Thats what he said anyway. He lived on Chalmers.

The only thing I can say is remember that just about every other movies done by singers that sucked. The Bodyguard, I Got the Hook Up, any movie by Ice T, Glitter, A Walk To Remember, any movie by Madona, Bones, the list can go on and on

Very true narc but you have to take into fact one thing, this is eminems story of his life. Like him or not you know his name and you probably know his story. His fans love him not only because of the music he makes but because he has an interesting story. This movie is just the pictorial representation of his story and thats why i think it will be a big seller. Who knows, it comes out soon so i guess we will see

8 Mile should have a decent box office reciepts, but I wouldn't look for it to set any records. So if your still willing to make that bet, I'm down.
