Default Waking Life

Anyone ever seen this movie? It's about a guy walking around from dream to dream, only waking up to find out he's still dreaming. Lots of monologes and rants about dreaming, very surreal. I guess the part that I liked most about it was the animation. It was shot on normal film, and then animators animated right over the film to give a very real-like look to the animation. At some parts it gets very psychadelic.
The movie is done by Richard Linklater (Slacker, Dazed and Confused)

Excellent film, well worth seeing. Cool soundtrack too.

Given that we spend so much time dreaming when we're asleep, you'd imagine that dreams would be a bigger theme for movies, books, etc. This film is really thought-provoking... I've started actually remembering my dreams since I saw it, which I never used to do. Really cool.

The animation is also the best I've ever seen. Go see it.

I saw Waking Life in the theatre awhile ago. It is a very strange movie with excellent animation. It was hard to concentrate because there is so much talking and thought about living and dreaming. I was sober the first time I saw it, so I will have to rent it and this time get baked beforehand. It will probably take on a new meaning.

If you want to see a good movie about dreaming, try to find a movie called "The City of Lost Children"

It is in French with subtitles, but visually it is the biggest mindf*ck of a movie I have ever seen.....

Oh yeah, I think that was made by Jeunet & Caro - the same people who made "Delicatessen" - also one of my favourite movies. Marc Jeunet also made the excellent, but very different, "Amelie"...

Yeah that movie is very thought provoking. It is really cool, so many great characters. I love the guy who covers himself in gasoline. I think its made by the same people who did Dazed and Confused. Great movie, go rent it you'll be happy you did!!!
