I saw this movie on the recommendation of a friend.

I greatly enjoyed it.

I'm really trying hard not to spoil any specific details but I kidna have to, to get my point across

I think they ruined what would have been a good movie about the growing insanity of a schizophrenic teenager with the ending.

I was not pleased with that aspect of the movie.

I think the ending was great. The movie wasnt about teenage schizophrenia in my opinion. it was about a hero and what makes him the hero. it can be interpretted so many ways, especially the ending, which in my makes it great. In my opinion it was about god using him to fix things. u should see it with the comentary

Well honestly, having watched it a few times

if I try to watch it as a movie about the super-natural, the movie sucks.

now as a movie about the growing insanity of a teenager trying to cope, that would have been a good movie.

Plus he really didn't come off as any kind of hero figure at all, he came off as someone who just couldn't cope with life

i guess we all have our different opinions, but u should watch it with the commentary by the director.

The problem with that interpretation is that jesus never had to redeem himself, he had to redeem everyone else. Donnie was sacrificing himself to save them, true, but if you wanna do it like that every movie that's EVER involved a sacrifice could be like jesus.

and frankly if *that* were the directors intentions, a whole god/jesus scenario, he did a poor job.

All interpretations aside, this movie had incredible sound and cinematography. It is one of my favorites.
