Does anybody know if this movie is going to screen over there?
Its a brazillian movie but everyone should watch it. Its a story about a poor housing project that started in the 60's that by the 80's it was the most dangerous place in Rio de Janeiro. The movie tells several stories of people that live there under the point of view of the narator, Busca-pé.

This movie remember very much pulp fiction with its non-linear story telling, violence (im not joking, im guessing here but i think at least 100 people die in this movie) and LOTS of bad languange. And for people that like drugs in movies, at least 2/3 of the movie somebody has a joint lit up. If you like Snatch or Pulp Fiction watch this movie!!!!

The movie was shot at the real City of God and when the director steped inside the drug lords called him and said if he wants to shoot the movie he would have to hire people from the comunity. So everyone in the movie, excepet one dude, is from City of God, non of the actors are pros that get paid millions of bucks like sh!tty hollywood trash.

Also impress your friends saying that you saw a movie with sub-tiltles

This movie is going to run for Foreing Movie at the Oscars, probably the only catagory worth anything.

Forget those movies from iran, watch this one. I saw on TV that its going to play in only 50 cities in the US, so keep heads up. Im not kidding watch this flick!!!!
