Hey i just saw the best movie i have seen in theatres in a very long time. I dont know if bowling for columbine is playing in your cities but if it is I highly suggest you see it or get it when it comes out on video. It is a documentary by michael moore focousing on the dangers of the lack of gun control in the U.S and examines why their gun murder rate is 11,000 compared to several countries including canada,japan and i think britain having it under 100...........
It also talks to students at columbine and marilyn manson who was accused of influencing the kids to shoot up their school.

IT was a very thought provoking very well done, satiical and great.
I highly reccomend everyone go and see it.

I thought bowling for columbine was the biggest bunch of left-wing propoganda. Guns helped build our country, and they will always be around. If you dont want one, that's cool, but there might be a time when you need one.
IF EVERYONE CARRIED A GUN, NO ONE WOULD BE ABLE TO SIMPLY USE A GUN AS LEVERAGE TO COMMIT A CRIME BECAUSE EVERYONE WOULD HAVE ONE. ANOTHER REASON WE SHOULD ALL CARRY GUNS IS BECAUSE WHEN THE ALIENS COME, WE MIGHT DAMN SURE NEED SOMETHING TO **** EM UP WITH.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I cannot watch it without crying during the "What a wonderful world" sequence.

I did not get the impression from this movie that Moore was saying guns should be outlawed. He pointed to statistics of countries with more leniant gun restrictions than even us (canada...) but with a much lower rate of gun violence

My interpretation of it was that he was pointing the finger at the american sensationalist media.

If you like Columbine, you should see Moores other movies, Roger and Me is an incredible movie. And his TV show the awful truth is out on DVD now, the first and second season. They are both great. Oh yeah, read his books also, downsize this and stupid white men are incredible books. Stupid white men will you make hate our current presidential administration even more than all of us already do.
