| The new TMNT cartoon series should debut on February 8. The time slot is likely to be 9:30 or 10:00 AM! 24 half-hour episodes for the first season and a lot more if it is successful. 4Kids Entertainment will be launching a modern TMNT site with lots of bells and whistles in February. The address will be www.tmnt.tv - this will be the place to get all the hype on the new show, along with online games and other cool stuff. Konami plans to launch the first new TMNT games around Christmas of 2003. Yes - a full 12 months from now, but Mirage C.E.O. Gary Richardson spent a few days with the gaming dudes in NYC and he says that the new stuff will be worth the wait! The plan is to try to hit shelves with both a PS2 game and a GameBoy Advance title - more platforms will follow shortly thereafter! ---------------------------------------------------------------- The good part is that this is hopefully going to be a prelude to some more movies. I wish they would make it more gritty and mature to angle it to an adult audience. |

| WooHOO! Cowabunga, d00d! I like the new logo, and the slightly darker drawing style. I sure hope they don't mess this up though. Of course, not having cable, I'll have to wait for the DVD to come out ![]()

| i'm very excited about this new show, i remember when the first cartoon came out and how good it was. not sure how exactly the animation will look, but the shots that they have on the site kinda look like the style they used in the most recent batman (not the future one) and superman cartoons, which i really liked. well, i guess we will just have to wait. thanks cholerist for pointing this out. monk

| Anyone read any of the old TMNT Manga? The artwork is so much better (read: darker) than the cutesy TV cartoon. Mirage rocks. There's some more screenshots of the 'toon on http://www.ninjaturtles.com/ |

| The old TMNT manga is absolutely awesome.........the looked less chunky a lot more dangerous and scarey and they really messed up the Foot guys. They were real ninja, not just kids with training. ![]() Actually, the new show looks very similar to the manga stuff. Another good manga to read along the same lines is the original Usagi Yojimbo comics...... now they rock!!

| Which publisher was the original one for Usagi Yojimbo? I used to have a bunch on Fantagraphics and some on Mirage. |

| Man! Another reason to go out and get foxtel! I'd love to be able to watch more TMNT. I finally found my old videos of the cartoon series the other day (turns out my uncle has them). I hope they do release the series on DVD, and even re-releasing the old series wouldn't be too bad. I don't know who the original publisher for Usagi Yojimbo was, but you can always check out the official website Usagi Yojimbo and that might tell you. |
