Last night I watched some tv I don’t watch that much tv maybe a couple hours a week but damn I didn’t realize how much time is spent trying to sell you crap and it was downright pissing me off. It seemed half of the shows where ads and even in the shows they where trying to sell you stuff I watched the late show and they had some guy on who was selling and marketing is “phat” brand. That’s all he was there for that I could see. Anyways they seemed to break every 4-second for a commercial and I don’t know how people can stand it!

usually a show thats thirty min long wil have about 7 min. of ads.

what pisses me off even more than them being there is the fact they they brainwash people into buy crap that they don't need and is over-priced.

Commercials on TV eat my arse, they really do. Commercials on cable TV eat my arse even more. That's because you are paying like $50 a month for cable and still have to deal with advertisement bullshat. The commercials have little to no effect on me, so stop wasting my time with them.

one of the best commercials ever is Nike's "Move" it showed during the 2002 winter olympics it was amazing, you can download it on kazaa, Grokster etc.

this is precisely why I hate watching television. Fujking commercials, and dumb pop stars selling you crap--like if they do it, then I should to.

Take mass product crap and shove it up their arses, thats what I say.

Well, you have to remember, the TV networks aren't in it for good programming, they're in it for advertising. Just like most radio stations, newpapers, magazines, almost every media outlet to be honest. Newspapers could give the paper away everyday, and still make a profit. Hell, they do it at my university. Television stations, with the exception of some premium stations, like HBO, broadcast their signals for free, you really don't have to pay for it.

I do agree that it's getting a little ridiculous, reality shows are the worst too. The fact that hockey games have "tv time outs" blows my mind, like they need even more time for ads! At least we get to watch the big games without commercials, CBC isn't as rabid as the American networks.
