Has anyone seen the movie "Ginger Snaps"? I thought it was fairly cool. These two Goth-ish sisters that are obsessed with death are insepperable until one gets her first period and is attacked by a werewolf. It was highly original and quite amusing in segments.

Best of all, the Here 'Sam' is a cannabis grower/distributer. He's smart and a user, that seems quite rare in film, where most stoners seem to be comic relief.

The music is also quite awesome hard rock. I've never been a fan of pop, and this film didn't alow me to be disappointed.

Some guys over at http://www.bloody-disgusting.com are having quite a heated argument over this film, and I hope we can be more civil.

This is one of those movies that you have to be bored out of your mind to see because it looks so cheesy. I thought it was pretty decent but i have also heard from people who love it, it looks a little cheap though. Check it out for yourself.

i quite liked this film, but the end dragged too much, i thought it was good tho because they didnt resort to crappy cgi monsters which always seems to make a film totally un-scary (e.g. jeepers creepers, alien 3, etc).
also, i thought ginger was sexy

I definetly agree with "Jeepers Creeps". It was so cool. It was like 3 stages, the cool evil truck, the spooky guy, then the crappy CGI thing. It was 2/3 an awesome film and 1/3 total crap.
I heard the girl that was Ginger in "Ginger Snaps" was in the last Jason (Friday the 13th) film. I thought she was VERY good. "G S" was definetly a low budget movie, but the acting was well done. The best thing is definetly a teenage girls point of view, and not just as another victim.

This thread reminded me of a time when my teacher said, "Ginger Snaps", instead of using a curse word. Or was it "Sugar Snaps." Or was it just "Hey."

Beats the hell out of me, I can't remember.

That post was definately completely off-topic!

However back on it, i have seen both those films GS, and JC. They both are very good films. i think they mimic that sort of cultish feeling that most expect from a low budget film. I enjoyed both and considered them to be some of the best films to come out compared to the crap we were getting then.

Anyways, if you haven't seen either i suggest you do. It's small town suburbia full of horror!
