| all i can say isWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWW a friend who had seen it rented it and we blazed and watched it that movie is very intense, if you listen to what they are saying its all very interesting the best thing to do is to think is what you are seeing on the screen at one time a dream or is it reality. parts will seem reall then some f*cked sh*t will happen i suggest it to any one that wants to trip

| Yeah, definitely one of the better movies i've seen recently and is actually one of my favourite movies ever. I'll second that notion of avoid trying to understand everything in it if you're more than slightly stoned, it's quite fast paced, especially the professor bit. I think i'll watch it again toady.

| This movie is the heat. No real coherent plot just random characters talking philosophical about life. Basicly its "Slackers" with tripped out animation. The Captian of the carboat had me tripping out and the scene with the scene with the guy talking about lucid dreaming funked me up.

| I agree with the Narc...Slackers, Linklater's first movie, is really a great film journey...I recommend that to all who enjoyed waking life, I think you will find Slackers even better...trippy, really something else! |

| Definatley one of my favorite movies... you can go here: http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte484v/wakinglife.html and read all the dialouge. I really like this: "I mean, it's like we go through life with our antennas bouncing off one another continuously on "ant" autopilot with nothing really human required of us. "Stop," "Go," "Walk here," "Drive there." All action basically for survival. All communication simply to keep this ant colony buzzing along in an efficient, polite manner. "Here's your change," "Paper or plastic?", "Credit or debit?", "Do you want ketchup with that?" I don't want a straw. I want real human moments. I want to see you. I want you to see me. I don't want to give that up. I don't want to be an ant. Ya know?" That's so true. I love that. What's your guys' favorite scene? |

| My favourite scene would probably be with the professor, talking about Evolution. But damn, it's hard to follow if you're stoned. |

| Nice find Preztel. As I siad earlier the scene with the boat-car guy is freaking aswome, and will definately mellow you out. Great way to start a movie. Quote:

| Yeah... I love that one. I've heard some people say that they think at that point Wiley, the main character, is still awake. Then that car comes and hits him and he's really dead for the rest of the movie, but he doesn't know it, and that's why he can't wake up. I think that's an interesting way to look at it. |
