| i saw cold mountain after smoking a "cone" (joint about the size of a cigar) with three freinds. this was some orage-haired stuff and we were quite satisfied with our purchase. we saw cold mountain as soon as we decided that the movie employees were not secret agents for the CIA or DEA trying to bust us. either way i personally felt that cold mountain wasa misplaced chick flick. the reason i saw its a chick flick is it deals with a lot of feminine notions. true love after just a kiss. its a spectacular romance story, as anyone who has read the book will tell you. the problem with the movie is it also had soem of the most intense, (hee hee hee extremely intense), batle scenes i have ever seen, somehting that guys would be more prone to view. in short i felt that they tried to mix the two genres so they could please both genders but in the end only made it so the opposite genre ruined the other genre, if you can understand that. - Engels |
