| Has anyone seen this movie. to avoid any confusion, I AM NOT referring to the semi-porn movie about people who get off sexually on car accidents. I'm referring to the movie that was just released on DVD starring Sandra Bullock and Ludacris, among others. My wife wanted to see it, so I rented it earlier, with low expectations. I hadn't heard much about it, but the box didn't make it seem all that great. However....WOW.....this was a powerful movie that held my attention every second. It had a very heavy message about steretypes and racism in America, without ever getting too "preachy". The basic story takes place over a 24 hour period, and shows how many different people's lives cross paths, and they effect a single action can have on the lives of others. I recommend the movie to everyone. I had very low expectations, but the movie completely blew my mind.

| I was confused when I saw the commercials advertising the release of the DVD. I had never heard of it before. Was it in the theaters earlier this year? I don't understand how an actress like Sandra Bullock can be in a movie released to DVD without anyone hearing much about it. Anyway, we get all the movie channels at my house - so I probably won't see it till HBO or one of the other channels picks it up. I generally try not to waste money on renting DVDs - only cause it seems like right after I rent them, they're playing on tv on a channel my parents have already paid for... just seems like a waste to me. |

I haven't seen it yet, although I want to. It was in theaters a little while back but didn't get very much publicity at all. Lots of people don't seem to have heard of it. I've heard good things though and hoping to see it soon | |

| I heard one of the reasons it wasn't too popular was because people thought it stereotyped groups too much.....which I find completely ironic. Anyone with half a brain can see that the movie is basically a statement AGAINST bias and stereotypes. Its too real, and I believe thats the reason many people found it difficult to watch. The movie itself isn't racist, but I guess I can see how those unintelligent enough to truely grasp its meaning would think that. |

| I had high hopes for this film. However I really wasn't that impressed. It was ok, not great. I went with two of my friends, who are both film students, and they agreed with me. Sure the portrayal of races was accurate, if the harsh truth. And it was kind of interesting and ironic that all the different races are tied together. But that in itself is kind of cliched. The idea that it's not JUST the black man who is bad, but anyone can be bad. Also I didn't like the ending. It didn't seem to resolve anything. It just said well racism is a cycle and it all starts over again. Don't get my wrong, by no means do I like the deus ex machina, predictable, or any other cliched ending. However, I just feel like "Crash" could have said a lot about society but in the end it just copped out and said "That's the way society is. It's everybody's fault. Things probably won't change." |

| Yeah, this movie was pretty good. Oh man, watch it when your stoned guys.. you get so into that damn movie. I had no idea what it was about when I rented it and then I was flooded with racist statements throughout the entire movie. THAT was a shocker. Heh, I like it when the black dude at the end goes berserk on those cops. Pretty funny. |
