Default American History X

I recently saw this movie, thought it was pretty good but the ending just confused me to death.

Why did the brother get killed? (Danny I believe?) did he get shot for blowing smoke in that black kids face, because of his brothers past or for both? Was the shooter somehow related to one of the guys that Derrick killed in the beginning?

Like I said cool movie, but i'd like to understand the ending a little better.

That's one of my favorite movies. In the end he shot him I think mainly because he acted like a racist bastard in the beginning, but also the whole smoke thing and messing with his dignity.

I hope that clears things up. He wasn't the person in the beginning's brother or anything.

Good movie though, glad you liked it.

Default American History X

I just finished watching this movie, and damn, its so powerful. The ending (the whole movie really) had so much passion, and power, the fact that even know they changed, they stil suffered the consequences....

If anyone hasnt seen it, go watch it now.

Great movie

Yeah, American History X is a great movie. Edward Norton should have gotten an Acadamey Award for best actor for it.
