basically theres a channel that allows anybody, and i mean anybody, with the money to go on TV for a half hour or hour and the studio gives them a set with a decorative plant and two chairs, and they can do whatever the hell they want. some of the regulars in my area are crazy religious preachers, deadly PTO meetings, and small-time politicians.
But my favorite of all time are these 2 burnouts, i mean complete burnouts, (possibly husband and wife?), that sit around and talk about old bands and reminisce about the concerts theyve been to....for an hour. keep in mind that they cannot carry a show at all, and there are always awkward moments of silence for 25-30 seconds where they just sit there with nothing to say, or go "well.....yeah....we'll be umm...accepting...calls...from...viewers...."
during these moments me and my stoned friends are laughing r asses off. its like watching a trainwreck
on another show i saw an old guy with a guest try to take a call from somebody calling in, but he couldnt work the phone. he ended up pressing the wrong button a couple of times, each time going through his routine of, "Hello and welcome. You're on 'so and so'..." and waiting for an answer (he never let the caller through). then his guest and him tried to figure out how to work the phone together as more calls came in....to no avail. it was tragic, really. this guy was sooo confused. it was priceless

anyways, does anyone watch public access and do you have any favorite shows or favorite moments from them
