| I love this damn show. Been getting into the spin-off, Atlantis, lately too. This is the general thread for this TV show and all its spin-offs. The thing I love is that it doesn't take place in some utopian future, or a bad one. It takes place here and now, with real-world things affecting the show. Also, it's the military in charge of it; as a military guy, that automatically speaks to me. I love the visuals, and the alien races they encounter. The tech seems real, and ultimately within our grasp someday. And it's plotted well, too; they have things from the first seasons coming up in seasons years down the road. They're also not afraid to make major changes, like kill people off or change the nature of the different races the team encounters. But I really love how the show isn't afraid to poke fun at itself or its own premise. O'Neill is the best at this; in the big episodes like the season finales and cliffhangers, you can see that he knows how ridiculous this all sounds, even as he's saying it. That kind of realism is something I really appreciate in sci-fi. Hell, TV in general. I should say that I'm only up to the late middle of the sixth season, so if you're going to talk about something that happens after that, please take it into account. Now, any other fans here?

| We have been Stargate SG1 fans for a decade. We just picked up season 8 on DVD, so we now have all the seasons available to buy. Season 10 starts this month! We haven't started buying Atlantis yet, but we do have the Stargate movie with Kurt Russell and James Spader as well. We really like Ben Browder and Claudia Black in it now. They are both great actors, and really bring a lot to the show. Stargate has just got better. We thought it might wind down because they would run out of stories, but not a chance. Especially now that Stargate Atlantis is being mixed in, and the fact that they can get back and forth to Atlantis by ship now, thanks to the Asgard. You don't get the Sci-Fi Channel, MirthMobile? I know people are going to want to discuss what's going on now if they are up to date. ![]()

| No, I do. It's just that I like to watch the episodes in season order. SciFi has a habit of cutting-and-pasting episodes from different seasons. It's cool for someone just starting out, but for someone who's into it, it's kind of annoying. Eh, probably just me and my anal-retentive completist tendencies. But it's cool to see Mitch Pileggi getting work. Always liked that guy. |

| I mean the thing SciFi does on Mondays, where they show episodes with a common theme. Monday it was bad-guy-themed. But I'm also talking about the episode they show every day at 5 PM Central; they have shows from differents seasons. Anyway, looking forward to next Friday? Season ten starts! |
