So it was allright, but they spent the last half of it talking about another substance...mostly in a good light towards marijuana, though.

Any thoughts?

Great show. I find that the History channel is full of quality programming. I have learned so much from that channel, i watch it nearly every day.

Very informative program on pot though. I also liked the one on a certain powdery off topic.

History Channel is the shit. Modern Marvels is some cool stuff to watch, especially around St. Paddy's. But don't watch the MM about snack food, or you'll get the worst munchies.

Then again, Discovery Channel has Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters, and Shark Week.

Gosh, learning sure is fun!

yeah i sat back and watched the one on marijuana and the one off topic powder before it. It was cool but i think that they shouldn't be saying that marijuana is all addictive and stuff. Just tell it like it is and let the people make decisions for themselves. They had some nice pictures too.

lol, whenever i go to hotels, or other people's houses and watch tv. i always watch the history and discovery channel. it blows not having cable/sattalite at home. i get all 6 channels though. YAY

They didn't. They were merely giving us a layout of its history. If you payed attention after the part where they talked about addiction, you'd have learned that New York Mayor Fiorello Laguardia had a 4 year study done on marijuana. The end result was called The Laguardia Commission Report. Here is the conclusion:

1. Under the influence of marihuana the basic personality structure of the individual does not change but some of the more superficial aspects of his behavior show alteration.
2. With the use of marihuana the individual experiences increased feelings of relaxation, disinhibition and self-confidence.
3. The new feeling of self-confidence induced by the drug expresses itself primarily through oral rather than through physical activity. There is some indication of a diminution in physical activity.
4. The disinhibition which results from the use of marihuana releases what is latent in the individual's thoughts and emotions but does not evoke responses which would be totally alien to him in his undrugged state.
5. Marihuana not only releases pleasant reactions but also feelings of anxiety.
6. Individuals with a limited capacity for effective experience and who have difficulty in making social contacts are more likely to resort to marihuana than those more capable of outgoing responses.

The funny part was that he used weed borrowed from Anslinger himself for the project. When the report came out, Anslinger felt betrayed and put an end to all medical research into the drug.

I saw it. It was good. It was almost as if they were pro cannabis but as if they hinted it as so you had to infer they were like it wasnt like saing we are pro and marijuana is bad. They said like it was only illegal because of the mexicans and jazzers. Also they showed the part where former mayor of nyc LaGaurdia ordered a study and found marijuana was harmless but the federal government ignored it. It was like they tried to hide it but they had to express their feelings on it. Did you watch any of the other ones. They were basically anti drug war. They said that the war on drugs was a waste and how the orginal people whould have never passed it if they new what problems it would cause. Also offtopic white powderr stimulant illegalization is based on racism too. Southerners were afraid of coloured people getting high on an off topic white stimulant powder.

Anyway i love the history channel it is awsesome. Btw who said having the muchies is bad i love going on the food channel and watching the delicious stuff then i get to work and eat it or it something like it. Like if they ere making something chocaltely i eat something chocaltey then i get the visual and taste of chocolate.

Are you poor? sorry if you are but tv aint that expensive. dishnetowrk is or direct tv? is like 30 bucks a month in america (dollar a day). It has all the major popular channels.

Also because too much of it and your heart stops working. There's a huge difference between our 'drug' and that one.
