Wow....most of the easy ones have been mentioned, but pot in movies has become so commonplace i don't really even notice it anymore. Pot has become so mainstream, its not at all odd for it to be seen in movies that you really don't expect to see it in. Take the movie "The Family Stone". Definitely not what you'd consider a "stoner" movie, but it features not only a young adult family member who smokes, but also includes a scene of him smoking with his dad! Thats just one example. I'd say probably 30% of the movies I watch either mention weed, or have scenes where characters are actually smoking. And it isnm't because i watch one specific genre of movie either......I watch comedies, horror movies, dramas, action flicks, thrillers, documentaries......I watch a LOT of movies (probably average at LEAST 4 per week) and pot is becoming more and more common in every genre. To me, its a good thing. Most movies don't glmaorize pot usage, but more importantly, they don't demonize it either. Its just something that some particular characters like to do, no different than Norm having a beer during an episode of "Cheers". Pot is mainstream these days, and the media is bound to pick up on that. Seriously....do you think a show like "Weeds" would be on TV a decade ago?

I strongly agree. Many movies have pot usage in them, and most of them aren't getting totally blazed and acting like complete morons. The media, the directors, actors, and even the audience have all picked up that marijuana smoking is something so regular nowadays, they can't even portray it heinously anymore without coming off like a new remake of reefer madness.

I really believe that media such as this is helping the legalization fight very much so. The audience is being able to relate to marijuana more, and even non smokers are getting to see that smoking is not nearly as bad as the claims out there.

i think what they all picked up was bong. and they smoked it time and time again.
but yes i do agree. in fact life aquatic has bill murray smoking, but its just something he does you know? no one cares. he smokes with his son(owen wilson) in that movie too.

Apparently in the movie beer fest one of the guys takes a bong rip, holds it in while he takes a shot and then chugs a beer. I read about it in Maxim, but apparently the actor didn't use fake weed or booze. They said they had to shoot it like 3 times and at the end of the night the guy was tanked. I haven't seen the movie yet but I heard it was good.
