Default Who Wants To Be A Superhero

Oh my god, this has got to be one of (if not the) funniest show on television.
I just discovered this nugget of hilarity while perusing the channels.

I'm not a comic book fan and never have been. I'm geeky, yeah, but I'm not that kind of geek. But this shit is funny.

The idea is pretty simple.
The contestants take on a superhero identity that is related to their personality and also have some specific way they try to improve society.
Stan Lee is the b ig cheese in this, and the winner gets to be the subject of a comic book and a Sci-Fi orginal movie, which is a pretty cool prize, I suppose.

They do superhero-esque tasks. One was to find a crying child and another was to rescue a woman by walking across a thin plank of wood blindfolded, thinking that the plank was suspended between two buildings (it wasn't - HA HA!).

If you haven't had the opportunity to check this out, I highly recommend it.

I rate it three and a half bowls.
(I laughed and choked in the middle of the fourth bowl!)

I normally hate reality TV* shows with a vengence, and I cried out in disgust when I first heard the premise (although I didn't know that the superheroes had to be based on the contestants' personalities), but after your review, I'd be willing to sit through an episode.

No cable, though. So, with no incentive to download it, I'll just have to miss out. Although actually, I'll be moving in with a couple of my buddies in a week, and they might want cable, so maybe I'll manage to catch it after all.

*=Would this be considered reality TV? If you'd consider American Idol one, than this would be one too, but they seem more like contest shows to me... that never really occurred to me until now. Oh well.

I also believe that future historians will look at this epoch and recognize it as another instance of the 'madness of crowds.'"

This show was ok. The people on it are such losers, I kinda felt embaressed for them the whole time I was watching it.

Im curious how bad the sci-fi orig. movie based on the winner will suck.
