has anyone seen this movie?

i've seen it twice so far and i love it. its about this crazy dysfunctional family's roadtrip. incredible acting and one of the best/funniest movie climaxes i've seen in a long time.

it was an indie film that fox picked up for some ridiculously cheap $10 million...i'm sure they've made way way more than that....

I definetely want to see it soon, mostly because of Steve Carell, and because it doesn't look as..."commercial" as most comedy coming out these days.

I saw it and loved it.

Ever since I saw the trailer for it I couldn't wait to see the movie. It's exactly the type of movie I love to a T. My girlfriend and I laughed our asses off throughout the movie. The scene at the end is priceless...I don't mean to ruin it for anyone but when the stage manager guy asked "did you pick this music out?" I said "It's Rick James, Bitch!" Then they started playing it and it really was Rick James. I laughed so hard I cried.

I didnt paticularily like 40 year old virgin that much. Almost oll of the funny parts were in the commercials.

Edit: It might win some awards..
but.. I really think that POTC2 will win that this year, even tho I never saw that, it made ALOT of money. like almost 1 billion I think. and everyone I know that saw it loved it.

After Crash winning last year, the Academy Awards are officially bullshit, but if POTC wins a god damn thing this year, especially over Little Miss Sunshine, then the Academy Awards are OFFICIALLY bullshit.

I loveed the movie as well. A little dark, very dysfunctional......suits my tastes quite well. There are movies I thought were funnier this year, but not many. This was has gotten much more critical acclaim than my other choices (Clerks 2 anyone?). AS a "mainstream" type of movie, it was priceless

I saw this movie last night and I LOVED it!

I agree, the girl who plays Olive did an amazing job. I'm going to have to watch it again tonight. So many emotions mixed into one...hard to explain but this movie made me think about a lot of things.
For those who have seen it...as a mother, the part when she decides whether or not she should perform, hit me hard. It made me think, what would I do if my daughter was in a similar situation. All I can say...great movie!!!

I'm a HUGE Clerks fan but was disappointed in Clerks 2. I expected more. I guess I was expecting it to be as good as the first but IMO, I don't think it even compared to the original - as could be said with most sequels.

One of my fav lines,..

"Try not to suck any dick on the way to the parking lot!"
