| I found 'Requiem' simply amazing. My old roommate was the first one to introduce me to the movie and he reserved a copy on DVD for over six months. He bought the book and forced me to sit and watch it with him. I thank him for his perserverance! I found the movie mentally, visually, spiritually, and physically stirring. The director's style was very refreshing. The editing was terriffic as well! I loved every minute of this movie! If you haven't seen it, get off your ass and rent it! I am definitely planning on buying it. Peace. Nessa

| I loved it, the director was the same as for the movie Pi, also a good movie though I've never actually watched the whole thing. The editing is really similar in both movies, and I love the soundtracks too. Of course I had to watch it at 3 am on ppv.. My friend was pissed for not waking him up ![]()

| maryjanie: thats pi! I agree with blacklung, you can totally tell it is the same director. I think requiem is better, I think pi could have been a little better, but I still thought the director did a good job. | |

| 'Pi', the first notable directing endeavor by the director of 'Requiem', won several Cannes Film Festival awards and thus, was awarded a significantly larger budget for 'Requiem' and that is why it seemed far better and a bit more "blockbuster-y" (to create a word). 'Pi' was great in the sense that it was new, original, creative, and just plain insane. The director's (and/or screenwriter's) vision is terribly disturbing and that is why 'Pi' is so amazing. I love movies that stir, disturb, make you actually think for yourself! What a concept!! I suggest that anyone who enjoyed 'Requiem' for the amazing piece of cinematic artistry that it is, watch 'Pi.' Mind you, it isn't for the weak-at-brain by any means. Beware. Peace. Nessa |

| I love creative films, but I felt that Pi built me up so much and then it kind of let me down towards the end. I didn't like requiem better because of its budget, I just thought that it didn't promise you anything that you weren't going to receive at the end of the film. The "drill" is pretty crazy. I thought the movie could have had a great ending, but it decided to settle for less in my opinion. I still like Darren Aronofsky's directing, specifically the camera techniques and angles he chooses. I watched that movie in my video production class a while back, everyone loved it in my class. Run Lola Run seemd like a trippy movie as well. I was watching that in my film class after my group went to go "film" (secret term for smokin herb). | |

| RLR is a great flick as well. It sucks you in and you must finish it to see just where in the hell she is running off to. It's a must-see in my book. Peace. Nessa |

| i saw this movie yesterday and i was totally amazed with the directing. the scenes when they actually prepared the drugs to do them that ended with the pupils dilating were genius. towards the end it all started falling apart and thats what you have to expect from hardcore drug addicts...gotta love marlon wayans always smokin blunts. | |

| In Pi, you can see the director's first attempts at the weird editing techniques found later in Requiem. You can see how developed and mastered he has become from Pi to Requiem. I love seeing the changes and similarities in various movies by the same director. Watch them and see if you can find the similarities. Peace. Nessa |
