It is a beautiful movie, and as of yet anyway, my favorite movie in the world. ( always subject ot change of course, but it's been my favorite for almost two years now).

I have the entire soundtrack on my computer, it is pretty and beautiful . It's a bit repetitive though as it's ( if I remember right) 33 tracks and almost all of them are just variations of the same 3 or 4 pieces of music they played in the movie. but still it is emotionally ****ing powerful music.

I also loved Pi.

Darren Aronofsky is just a notch ahead of Christopher Nolan as my favorite director.

I saw this movie with my friend last year, and didn't like it much because it was so depressing. The message of the movie is that drugs will ruin your life.

Default The Book

Requiem is a favorite in my collection. I haven't read the book yet though. Has anyone in here read it? How is it?

heh i finally saw requiem and it blew me away
what a feast for the senses it is i love the soundtrack, and pretty much the whole movie. i think its even better when your blazed... especially the music.

i love the guy on tv and the chanting crowd, they were tripping me out ...

i didnt see it really as saying 'drugs are bad', its interesting that the TV did more damage than the drugs did...

I just bought Requiem and Pi on DVD, $12.99 for both (one hell of a deal).

Anyway, I thought both movies were awesome. Unlike anything I've really seen before. Requiem was so sad, I didn't even feel like smoking after I saw it. It had that much of an effect on me. Of course that all changed the next day, though.

I just watched Pi tonight and I loved it. Reminds me a little of myself when I think about mathematics and how they apply to the world we live in. Loved the unique black/white film they used too. They used a certain type of black/white film that is different than the traditional black/white film that produces grey like images. Probably worded that wrong, but you get the picture.

I just saw this thread and wanted to say that Requiem for a Dream is an awsome movie.

They did it really well... I was extremely impressed.
