Does anyone like the sitcom The Golden Girls? I doubt many guys, if any, like it, but I think its such a funny show, I got into with my roomie over the last couple years.

So my friend got me the season 6 DVD for Christmas. Its so funny to me, theres the slutty-man eater-Blanche, the bitch-Dorothy, the ditz-Rose, and my personal favorite, the sassy,half-senile troublemaker-Sophia.

And I am only on disk 1!! Woo-hoo what a CrAzY Friday night...

I have heard of it before but I have never seen it, nor have i ever seen the times for it in the tv guide, so im not sure where i heard it. Just the name sounds really familiar.
Even though im a guy, i want to see it now. lol

Senior Citizen comedy...

It had moments, but I was never a fan...

I always remember when I would get to my grandmothers as a kid at night she would be watching golden girls..

about 6 months ago my girl and i had just came back from a burnrun we plopped infront of the tv and surfed the channels and stumbled onto the golden girls and i started watching it and isanly giggling.

haha, holy shit. although not a long term fan, there was a short time that i started watching it every boring afternoon for a summer in high school and i liked it quite a bit. my favorite (probably everyone's) was the little oldest lady always talking shit about everyone. that show made old women hilarious.

I'm a guy and I liked it. I think age may be more of a factor (with guys anyway) than sex in whether you like this show.

Trivia-the actresses playing Rose (Betty White) and Blanche (Rue McClanahan) originally were cast for the other's part and switched just before the pilot was filmed.

Oh yes, Sophia was definately my favorite...shows my age though, i remember watching it with my parents when they were still new shows. Funny stuff!

wow, IMO that wouldn't of worked. They played their parts very well. I couldn't see Betty White playing Blanche's part. My husband and I were just talking about this show and how funny Sophia was. We were trying to think who's still alive from the show??

I use to watch the show with my parents too. Guess I'm showing my age as well
