Anchorman is overrated. A lot of people say it's their fav comedy. Well I watched it for the first time last night and didn't laugh that much. I laughed a few times but overall it was pretty weak. The retard in the movie was the funniest part.

He was in Old School. He failed in this movie IMO. There were a few LOL parts, but even stoned this movie had me in a bore.

You did not just say that! Anchorman is one of my favourite movies, period. I've always said it's the most quotable movie since Dumb and Dumber. I just like Will's style in Anchorman. The voice and everything...

I liked Anchorman, but it's hardly among my favorite comedies. I think some people do give the movie way too much praise, but most people I know feel the same way I do about the movie: it's just decent.

I get him but I don't think he's funny except for some of his SNL bits. Comedy is subjective though. To each his own and all that. We need more humor these days, so whatever tickles your funnybone is a good thing.
